Walk The Land's Valley Wildlings is not registered as an Education Provider by the Department of Education or ACECQA. We are an outdoor activity and recreation provider that offers nature based pedagogy. We are developing curriculum which meets the Early Years Learning Framework. Please talk to us about our policies and plans.
Walk The Land is run by two dedicated educators. Paying for the program in advance enables us to know and prepare for the number of children who will be attending the program each day. It also reduces administration time ensuring we focus on creating and running excellent programs.
We deeply believe in fostering the connections between children in the group to enable them to solidify deep friendships together, as well as community connections between families.
If payment is an issue, you are welcome to attend Village Circle to trial, ask us about payment plans . And contact us for casual places when they become available
Yes! We love playing in the puddles and run rain or shine. We will only cancel our program if their is a heatwave, strong winds or if there are severe storms forecast. Families will be invited to attend another session time.
As we are an outdoor activity and recreation provider, not an Education or Care Provider, we do not qualify for a childcare rebate. We are a small business that does not currently have access to grants. Our insurance premiums are high due to the perceived higher risk of children outdoors. We hire excellent staff and purchase sustainable resources where possible and run a deeply considered unique program. We hope you understand and see where we are placing value.
We acknowledge that not everyone has equal opportunities. We therefore wish to offer a discount or gift economy option to individual children who are from marginalised or single parent families. In so doing we hope to invite a range of demographics who would like to access nature based play.
Yes, as long as there are still spaces available we can transfer your booking to a different day. Just send us an email – valleywildlings@gmail.com
Please note that we cannot refund any sessions that are missed due to absenteeism, including if your child is sick or away on holidays. These days can be made up on a different day if space is available. It is the responsibility of the family to follow up. Credits for sessions need to be made up within the same term and will not be carried into the next term.
Should we cancel due to weather or staffing, you will receive a credit for future programs.
Walk The Land
We acknowledge the Woi Wurrung Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as the First Peoples of the land and waterways that we live, work and learn on. We honour their songlines, their storylines and express our respect to Wurundjeri elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has not been ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
